PP Stamping/Appointment?

I am based in philadelphia. I just got an Approval Notice for my I485. The notice says call National Customer Service Center or Local INS to make an appointment. Should I call or just walk in. This seems like a standard approval. My approval date is Nov 06, 2000. I think VSC has a lot of load and is encouraging people to take appointments for PP stamping.

I saw two more people with the same approval notice issued in the 1st week of November.

Is there anyone with a PP stamp who just walked in without an appointment based on this notice?

Please inform ASAP.

Any one with similar experience?

All you need is to take the following with you to the local office: Original approval letter, Passport, I-94 (Ofcourse, it is already stapled to your passport), 2 photographs conforming to the INS requirements, EAD and AP (If you have them). That\'s it. No appointment is required. I had mine stamped on Nov 2nd in Arlington, VA.

Just walk in...mine also said to call for an appointment but it\'s not necessary. I walked in to the Baltimore INS without an appointment and had my passport stamped. Also, I took the courtesy copy (not the original) of the I485 approval notice and it was OK.

Hi Kelly,
When you went to get your passport stamped, did they ask for your orginal I-485 approval? The resao why I am asking you this is that I only have the courtesy copy. The orginal went to my attorney whom I am not able to trace even by nation wide directory search.
Thanks
