PP Stamped - NYC, Garden City

Hi All,

   This is for anybody looking for PP stamping experience in NYC, Garden City (Case transferred from VSC to NYC local). I was looking desperately for PP stamping experience in NYC (last week) and I did not find any (may be NYC guys not interested in posting the experience or .... ).

You need to take the following documents for passport stamping.

1. Valid passport
2. Proof of residency
3. I-94 card
4. Emp. Auth. cards
5. Two Photographs
6. Any travel documents.

It should not take more than 20min to finish off the process (if the immegration officer is little slow).

I was wondering can one go to any Local office for PP Stamping.
What Proof of residency they check....I live in VA can I go to Garded City, NY for stamping because my lives over there.
 
Did you have a interview there?

It was PP stamping only. It was not an interview. The DAO asked me about the address where I live (to findout if the plastic cards were going to the wrong address). I had utility bills, bank statments that had the address on it. I dont know if you can go on any other day because the NYC garden city stamping center had 4 DAO\'s sitting on folding tables (temporary tables) with couple of boxes which had mine and my wife\'s file (The file number is same as you A#). When you show the stamping letter the officer will get your file from the box. So I think if you go on any other day other than your PP stamping date your file may not be physically present there. They also checked the validity of the passport. The DAO could not beleve that my passport had twenty years expiry date.
