PP stamped in Houston

Our passports were stamped in Houston INS on 2/5/04 and they told us that, it may take around 12 months to get the card. Any one receive the card recently?

Any suggestions? what is the approximate wait time to receive the card. We need to travel to India in late march or early april time frame. Is it safe to travel with I-551 stamp?
 
I got the actual card in abt 3-4weeks.. I did my stamping on jan 5th and got the card last week of Jan. They also told me that it would take about 6-12months, but thats not true, atleast in my case.
By the way, Since you have the stamping in yr passport, you could travel with that.. no problem!!
Note : I also did my stamping in houston!!
 
Dude... Did you have to attend an interview or was the case approved the service center itself?? I attended the interview at the houston office on 01/29/04. They did not approve my case as they didnt receive the FBI clearance by the interview time. Any idea of how long it would normally take to get the FBI approval? Is this normal now a days the FBI clearance not coming right away??

kanata and helpneeded123 - what time did u guys go there? u dont have to stand in the line right? I am planning to go this thursday. Please respond.

Mad Par,
We reached the building around 8:45 AM. Not much rush during that time and we were done our stamping by 9:45AM. You need to get the token first.

Dude!!! Our cases were approved by Vermont Service Center.

Congrats!

I also got approvals today and planning to go for stamping next week. Could you please provide some information for me?

1. Any additional documents are required than those mentioned in the approval notice?

3. Ant questions like interview?
