Guys, I went for PP stamping today at Indianapolis office.
1st) I just gave a PHOTOCOPY of my 485 approval notice; no one asked for original so I did not give it (it was 797 , I did not get a 797C) as I have heard a few people say that one should retain the original. Anyways, other things were your regular AP, EAD, I-94's, 2 PP pics and PP. The lady at the counter was on the computer checking stuff for a good 15 minutes shaking her head as in ye, nay, ye, nay. Well , never mind...in a few minutes got called in for index FP/signature, got the stamped PP. WAS TOLD THE CARD WILL BE MAILED BY NEBRASKA IN 9-12 MONTHS....as they have a huge stack to process!!! So all of you guys who have your PP stamped (especially under NSC jurisdiction) just enjoy what you have and leave your needless worries for the plastic card for now ... as long as you do not have to go in to renew your 551 stamp in a year...consider yourself lucky!!!
:)

Cool, I got mine stamped in the Kansas City Office today.

My letter said they would send me my card in 120 days.

BUT I had not had the biometrics done when I got my last EAD. That is signature, index fingerprint and photos. Beacuse of this my lawyer said to go get the stamp because they will have to fill in the I-89 form, which includes the index print your signature and to bring 2 passport photos. SO today thats what I did. I had my infopass appointment. Without it they won't even let you in the door. My spouse and me went in on the same appointment even though I had made 2 appointments.
The agent asked for approval letter, passport, AP, EAD and photos. She took our fingerprint, we signed the form, and she stamped our passports. All in all it took 10 minutes. WHoooo Hooooooo. Now just wait for the card

They told me 8-12 months also.
