May I please know the amount a sponsor is supposed to have in his/her account for the dv 2011 when he fills the I-134 form for me? Thanks in advance

If you use the money in the bank account alone to show proof of support, I think you need a lot of money...
If you show letter of employer saying how much the sponsor earns, it needs to be around $30,000/$35,000 PER YEAR
For the money in the bank account alone I would guess you need 5 times this amount maybe ?

Your sponsor don't need to have a large amount of money in his/her bank account, once he/she can provide a prove of full time work/employment, he/she can sponsor you. Do you have information about your sponsor's dependents? Because this information will determine the annual income he/she must get from work.
