Postponing Fingerprinting

Hi

I just got the notice for my fingerpringint appointment and it falls on a date that I am going to be out of the country. I am thinking of postponing the fingerprinting appoointment but wanted to see if anyone could tell me how long it took for them to get their new fingerprinting notice after postponing their 1st notice

I wouldn't mind if it gets pushed out a little bit but if rescheduling it means it goes out a few months then I might just cancel my trip

Thanks in advance

Rather than trying to postpone the FP appointment, you should go to the ASC and try to submit your FP before the date of your appointment. There have been many cases reported where people have been able to submit their FP ahead of their appointed time. Take your FP notice, go to the ASC and give it a shot.

Good luck!

FYI. Went to the Fort Worth ASC and asked if I could do my fingerprints earlier (today) and they said they were really busy and if I couldn't come in on the day of the appt. then I needed to send in the request to postpone in the mail. Oh well, might incur a 2-4 week delay but will get caught up by the time I get the interview.

I am sorry to hear that. Fort Worth ASC seems to be terrible in this regard. My wife had a similar experience. My wife and I submitted our FP in May. However, my wife got a notice a few weeks later to re-submit her prints. So, we decided to try our luck and see if she could submit her prints ahead of her scheduled appointment. The Fort Worth ASC, however, would have none of it. Though they did not seem to be very busy at the time, they turned us away.
