postponing CP interview

I will be sending in my P3 in a week or so (consulate - chennai) . My wife cannot travel between end jan and May. I am worried that interview will be sceduled during that time. Can i request the consulate to schedule an interview sooner or postpone the interview? has anybody had experience is potponing/preponing the interview?

If you send your P3 fast and the reveiw is finished fast you
have a chance of having the interview in Jan.

However no one can be sure at this point.

You can always ask for a postponement once the case reaches
the consulate. I am doubtful about the consulate bringing forward
the interview date.

There are two options for you at this point:

a) Hold back the Packet 3 till March 2004 so that the interview
takes place after May.

b) Wail till the case reaches the consulate:

(i) If the interview takes palce in Jan , then attend the
interview.

OR

(ii) Ask for a postponement per your citing the reason.

But my wife, who was pregnant was unable to attend the interview.
I was informed that as a result of split processing case, she will receive a new packet4.
Could I have an estimate of when we should expect the packet4 to be dispatched to our home address of xxxxxxxxxx?

My worry:

My wife's case is scheduled for late October 2003.

Now all I am wondering is what documents would be needed.

Would she need only my I-134 affidavit of support with bank statement or would she also need my pay stubs, employment letter?
