postpone passport stamp?

Hi, All,

I am planning an extended trip to my home country, on
advanced parole, to take care of some famiy matters.
It will take at least three months.

My PD is 10/15/2001. At the pace things are moving, I am
expecting to receive the approval notice before I return to
the US.

Now my questions are:

1. Does INS scheduled a fixed date for passport stamp, like
the fingure print date? Does the date come with the
approval notice?

2. How far away is the scheduled date from the approval
notice date?

3. If the date is fixed, how can I postpone it? Or if it is not
fixed, how long in general can INS wait for me to show up?

4. Not only the passport stamp date, what if they ask me
for an interview at local office? Can I postpone that?

No fixed date - they will tell you Fridays (as in my case) or Wednesdays. You can go any week on that day.

Don't know how interviews work.
