SO i applied for a marriage based green card in January. I got my receipt in February then nothing else till i got the interview appointment in September. When i got to the interview i was informed my I485 case was closed because the post office kept returning my USCIS mail. The petition for my green card was approved during the interview but i was told i had to file a motion to repoen my I485 case.
I called the 800 USCIS # and was told to write a letter asking them to reopen my case. I did that a month ago, and still haven't heard anything back from them.
I dont know if i missed a step or if there is something else i need to do.
