I applied for my 14 years old at the post office. SHe asked her CON or American birth certificate. I told that she is getting passport as me and my wife became US cetizen and our nat. cetificyates are with our applications. We were submitting app the applications together. She said that she will accept either my kids Cerificiate of Citozenship or american birth cerificate. I told that we have just applied for her Cerificate of Nat and shown her the proofe. She took the photo copy of the receipt of application (n-600) and copy of GC. She told me that pasport agency will contact us for more details. Now my passport is approved but my kids status shows still processing.
They will send back original Natz certificate and may ask again for processing my daughter's passport. I am worried ...
any one had similat experience.
Thanks for being there with me in this long journey.

thanks

She had to take your daughter's GC and send it with the rest of application. A copy of GC is not enough for the passport agency. Post office clerks are often not trained enough to handle a bit complex tasks when it comes to passport applications, so if I were you, I would just withdraw from the process and choose a different acceptance facility.

I agree with Konig. I took my 16 year old to the post office with me (being 16 she had to appear in person and sign for herself) to apply for both our passports. We had an appointment, but nonetheless we were initially assigned to a clerk who seemed pretty clueless. He kept consulting the clerk at the next wicket, who was handling regular postal business, about what to do. The other clerk eventually got aggravated with this and called over the supervisor, and the clerks switched roles. The more expert clerk appeared to be completely familiar with taking an application like ours and handled it with dispatch. In the teen's application she put a photocopy of my naturalization certificate, with a note stating the original was in the parent application, plus the teen's original foreign birth certificate and GC. Both our passports arrived in the mail on the same day, and the original documents were all returned to us the following day.

Sorry to hear you got stuck with a poorly trained clerk, emno. It sounds like it may be tiresome to get this resolved properly.

Thanks so for replying to my query.
The post office told me that Passport agency will eb contacting me if they need anything. Mine passport already got approved.
I am woried that I will be getting my Natz certificate and they may ask teh original certificate which may be in mail.
