Post-dating Application

I expect so as long as you also mail it at a future date :)

Seriously you are signing that all the information is correct, something may change between signing and the date you put, so I would say don't do it.

reasons

Well, if I post date the signature to a few days ahead of mailing, it would be within the 90 day timeframe. Also, I would be able to mail it on the 89th day but the receipt date would within the timeframe as well so if they receive it on the post date day, it would acceptable. I hope this make sense.

Don't let the signature date be after the postmark date. You don't want some anal clerk to look at it and say "this person signed on 11/1/2008 but it is postmarked 10/31/2008!?" and cause any delay or other problems.

Are you allowed to sign the N-400 with a future date?

USCIS will honor your postmarking over date you write on application and I am sure it will consider mistake from your side.Other than that if it is intentinal it will consider fraud.I am Just saying.
