A friend of mine, has been called again for citizenship swearing in ceremony in a week's time. Those were stopped too in light of INS freeze. Hopefully GC's will start again too.

I would still be concerned about the speed of approvals we are gonna see this time around. The speed was pathetic to start with, with this extra check in place, it's only gonna be worse. Not to mention, we have an abnormally abnormally high percentage of transfers.

Damn you INS.

what is the satus before case transferred according to your observation,is it RFE received .

Deeps, the # of transferree cases from individual statuses are almost equal. However, I have seen that once u get an RFE, you have almost a 30% chance of getting transferred. But from resumed, your case could go to rfe sent/approved mostly, but don't be surprised if it doesn't.

Also, lately I have seen very few cases who go from resumed to approved straight.

For an average person, do expect to get an RFE atleast.

My opinion
The mostly reason for transfer is changing of job.
As of law each AOS applicant should be interviewed.
For EB cases without changing job interview MAY BE vaiwed.
That means if you are on the same job there is a posibility of transfer. If you change job transfer is garanteed.

How does INS know that job is changed?
If INS officer suggests you change job he issues RFE.
Then he transfers case.
Sometimes applicant informs INS about changing job by himself.
In this case transfer is done from resume status directly.

Definitly there are some other reasons for transfer

One more opinion
INS still working now. They continue to do what they can do by themselves. i.e. issue RFE and transfer cases.
The problem is with other agencies(FBI, CIA, DOS, KGB etc:))
They didnot sent result of their checks in time.
INS is forbidden to resume cases without such checks.

Some applicants have sent answers to RFE, but didn't transfered
I think they are lucky guys. INS doesn't have questions for them.
They only wait for answer from other agencies.

So don't blame INS. It's just goverment

Now I have a better Idea of how the things are moving,I was just getting impatient by looking at others getting RFE & getting transfered, My stage is Processing resumed on 1/18,hopefully i will see some change in that message within a month or two.
