I had a request for evidence sent to me back on July 9th, it stated that I had to have my information in by October 4th. They are asking for a tax return from my wife, she filed her tax return with her family, but they wanted an individual one, we had since submitted that to the irs and were told between 5-6 weeks, which should be this week to get it back, however on the irs.gov website it is saying we won't get it back until October the 19th. If I miss my deadline date of October the 4th, what will happen, can I file for an extension or am I out of luck.
