Make sure there are no gaps in your employment history. Also, U have to prove that U remained in good status throughout your stay in US, like copy of I20 if U came to US on student visa. Your I485 should contain all the supporting docs like paystubb, employment letter, recommendations letters from previous employers, Birth Certificate, W2, etc. These are some of the things INS ask for in the form of RFE (Request for Evidence).
