Possible late filing I-751??

Hi,

I'm new to the website. I have a couple of questions regarding a possible situation of late I-751 filing. Here is my timeline: Mailed out the package on 6/28, the package was delivered to USCIS Vermont on 6/30, my Conditional GR expires on 7/5. The only concern I have it's that the check I sent with the package might not be signed....it was stupid of me not to make a copy of it. I usually make copies of important documents, but for some reason this time, I just thought it was unnecessary.. Now I couldn't regret it more. I thought it was signed by my husband and I thought I saw the signature, but after I mailed out the package I started to get paranoid and suspect that the check isn't signed, because my husband doesn't remember signing it when I confirmed with him...but he does have bad memory.....so basically him signing it and me checking the signature are all a blur in our heads. Neither of us are sure of our actions......I'm sure of everything else I sent, except the check.....So now I have questions in below scenarios:

1. It's signed: in this case, even if I end up receiving the receipt from USCIS a week after my CGC expiration date, I still wouldn't be considered late filing, right?
2. If it's not signed: in this case, USCIS returns my package because of this issue. I'll definitely receive it after my CGC expiration date. Therefore, re-file I-751 after the expiration date. Will I be considered late filing because my re-filing is after the expiration date?

Appreciate all the help from you!
