I am waiting for state labor [Connecticut] clearence that i applied in
August 2003 under the Non-RIR category. I am worried as i have about 2
years left in my existing H1 and not sure how quickly the Non-RIR
applications move.
1) I am just wondering if there will be a benefit if i reapply under
the new PERM process?
2) What will happen to the priority date if we reapply?
3) How many months it would typically take to clear both State (CT) &
Federal labor clearence with the PERM process?
4) What are the expenses & process involved to reapply a case under
PERM?
Also, I am not sure if there is an effort to clear the back log ASAP?
Please advice ASAP,
