Possible big problems from traffic tickets?

Here is my story.

Couple days ago I accidentally ran a red light. Nobody stopped me, but I might have been photographed (not sure about this).

Possible scenario if I was photograhed.
I guess it takes couple weeks (if not months) for the ticket to arrive. The catch is that in a week I am leaving USA for almost a year and I won't know what I get in my "old" mailbox.

Thus that possible/prospective ticket will be considered unpaid, won't be? If issued ...

What will happen after arrival to the U.S. then ? Should I be afraid of being arrested and paying n-times more for that?

Anybody ever had similar problem?

Right before you leave, visit the post office to tell them you are moving and give them a forwarding address. For 12 months they will forward your mail. Send your mail to a friend or relative so they can check it for you. Of course, the forwarding address has to be a US address.
