Possibility of passing CIR in coming session

I know that a lot of legal immigrants are against CIR because of the provisions for legalizing millions of illegals and thereby choking the system in the future but for those of us who are stuck in the final stages of this process it is defenitely a good thing. I might sound selfish here but I am at a point where any sort of relief for my case is welcome. The truth is that there is no perfect bill and each time something changes for the better certain other things will get worse. There is no perfect bill and right now CIR looks like the only way out for certain sections of legal immigrants.

THat is a good news. Atleast some hope. Do you know if this is on senate or house agenda for discussion or just a speculation by attorney?

Arlen spectar is the senata judiciary committee chairman and he was talking to CNN. He told that there is a possiblity that it will be passed in the coming session.

Yooklid said:I don't know why everyone's excited. If everyone got visa numbers tomorrow, the line would just be on I485 processing. It would change from a 6 month to a 2 year process!
It is much better to wait in I485 processing line 4-5 years than 1-2 years without visa numbers available.
