Possibility of approval without 2nd FP

My 1st FP expired this Sept. I have not yet received a 2nd FP Notice. What is the possibility of 485 getting approved without a 2nd FP notice when 1st FP has expired? Is it mandatory for USCIS to have a valid FP before approving the I-485.

Yes having FP is mandatory before ur case is approved.
