Hi everyone, this is the first time I am posting a message..

I work for a university as a senior programmer/analyst. My I-485 is pending for about a year and a half. My question is:
there is a job in the university that I am well qualified. and it pays a lot more. the job title for that job is "COORDINATOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS" for a different department within the university. the job descriptions are not identical, but very similiar. what should I do at this point? any thoughts would be highly appreciated...

As long as the job descriptions are similar you should be fine. See whether you can get them to change the title to Applications Developer or like, 'cos Coordinator sounds out of sync with Programmer/Analyst.
