Porting Priority Dates between two approved I-140's

Hi There,

I need some help to understand the Priority Dates porting process.
When I talked to the lawyer, he mentioned that I can’t request priority date porting from one approved 140 to another approved 140.

Find my case details below:
GC Processing 1: Employer 1 - PERM Labor (Priority Date 12/2005) - EB2 - I140 Approved - I-485 Pending
GC Processing 2: Employer 2 - Regular Labor (Priority Date 8/2004) - EB2 - I140 Approved -

Based on the above situation, Can I request priority date porting from GC Processing 2 to GC Processing 1?

Better find another lawyer, this is very common thing. You can do it. Why you are waiting so long. THere is procedure to do it by sending a photocopy of previous apporved I140 and a writing to USCIS.
