Dear Rajiv,
I noticed the I-485 backlog petition that you have on www.immigration.com and appreciate your steps in this regard. However, I would like to point out that I-485 is mostly a formality in getting the adjustment of status and the green card.
The real sufferers from immigration perspective are the people whose labor application is either being remanded to state or they have been waiting for labor certification for the past two or more years. These people are going through a lot of stress as they are not able to make any investments or plan their future because if their labor gets remanded back to state (which is happening for most California applications), they have to wait for another 2 to 3 years just to get the labor approval.
It would be a good idea to introduce a petition on behalf of these people to DoL and BCIS. Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you
