How can i add another option. This is highly user unfriendly....

Anyhow pls post here if you think making an inquiry is NOT a good idea.

Maybe add another option:

Worse

at least this is the attorney's advise.

Let me know what options you want to add/modify and I can change the poll for you.

Personally the option I would have selected is (if present) : Doesn't hurt to try.

I for one don't believe that sending faxes hurts anyone. I don't think ruxrux's case was hampered by his sending faxes to INS, there was some information that was not reported on the application that showed up on his background check. Even if faxing was responsible, there are hundreds of cases out there who have received their approval thanks to the faxes they sent.

In my personal experience, I am not sure if it helped or not, but I can definitely say, it did not hurt it. So going by that, I would RECCOMEND faxing highly. All I would suggest is to have some logic and a well documents letter attached to the fax that explains the situation succintly.

For now I haven't voted on the poll, but will do so if it has the right options listed.

140,

pls feel free to modify the poll options. I just did it quickly so might not be that great. Basically all i wanted to gather is that should ppl fax or not. Would it hurt it they do or INS doesnt really care about this.

thanks

May I suggest, that to make this poll more meaningful, is restrict the responses to those who've actually seen some outcome (positive or negative) from their enquiries.

One way to do that is to have the following options for responses:

1) Approval within 2 weeks of Enquiry
2) Approval within 1 month of Enquiry
3) Approval more than 1 month of Enquiry
4) 2nd FP Notice within 2 weeks of Enquiry
5) 2nd FP Notice within 1 month of Enquiry
6) 2nd FP Notice more than 1 month of Enquiry
7) RFE within 2 weeks of Enquiry
8) RFE within 1 month of Enquiry
9) RFE Notice more than 1 month of Enquiry
10) NO Response - 2 weeks since Enquiry
11) NO Response - more than 1 month since Enquiry

And possibly a 12th option (though I dont think it might be relevant, 'cos things dont seem to work this way), is

12) NEGATIVE response (Rejection/Denial) after Enquiry

In the end, faxing did not hurt me, it was a totally diffrent thing.
I don't really think faxing can make your case worse, maybe better but most likely nothing significant will happen.
