I have a question because alot of employers dont really know what asylum is so my question is what is our status in this country, are we considered as Permanent Resident, Temporary Resident or what..

we are considered as "US person" in tax regulation, we have same job opportunity and tax treatment as citizens, except some sensitive jobs.

Asylum status is indefinite and may be terminated. That's why people holding this status are considered as Temporary Residents. They are the right to stay and work in US.They share some benefits with PRs and US citizen and are barred from some others. The fact is lot of people in US(Including Employers) don't know much about asylum.
