political asylum outside USA,procedure???

i am glad that i came across this forum.
i am Chinese citizen and now live in China,some time ago,i was accidentally beaten by a security guard because i said Taiwan should its way(to be dependent)...now i feel meaningless to live here and worry about a lot.
can i seek political asylum in China through USA embassy?or i have to go to USA first?
what would the procedure be?
i would try to consult embassy here but wold appreciate if anyone could give a suggestion here.

You can apply for asylum at the embassy. But your story is not strong enough for such a benefit. You have to be under fear of persecution ffrom Government, not just security guard.

I knew from other countries that some government officials from the previous regime fled to embassies and sought a refugee in embassies. These folks got protection but they never get out of the embassy for years. Some died and some still living in the embassy.

As indicated by one forum member, your case is not compelling enough to seek protection by embassy. You must have a well founded fear of persecution to get asylum protection. Also, as you may know, the REAL ID Act which became law recently makes it more difficult for asylum seekers. At this point, it is unclear if REAL ID is practically tested or not, but I understand that it requires asylum seekers to provide substantial burden of proof.

your reason to apply for asylum tells me you are not a real victim of any well-found fears, plus as most of chinese are against the independence of Taiwan, your story cant believed by the Embassy, find another reason, whatever can make you realized the American dream. The one you chose is a belly-joking stuff.
