police record required for AOS?

Hi all,

Im going to do AOS, as I am currently in the USA on a H1B. Will I still need to get a police record?
 
I am in the same position with you. I read on the forum that if you are in the usa, you dont need a police record. but honestly i am not sure about that. will be glad if someone, who knows this, informs us
 
Guys,

If you are in the USA you don't need to file a police clearance because background checks will be done by FBI. However, it is always good if you have extra documents handy. Just my 2 cents. :)
