Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing good.

I am new to this forum and about to start for GC process through family based immigration. My wife is US citizen and I am Indian citizen.

My query is regarding PCC.

1. Do I have to provide all PCC for the places I stayed after the age of 16 years.

2. I lived in Delhi for 8 years but my passport was issued from Lucknow as i have permanent address here. How to get PCC from Delhi as remember the address but dont have any proof for those address. Do we have to provide proof also for the addresses. What if we don't have proofs of those addresses.

3. Do we need PCC from passport office also apart from the local police authority were I stayed after the age of 16 years.

please suggest how to get these PCC.

-- Whichever addresses, you can avoid, do those. So, you dont need PCC from there.

-- Well, you have not made any crime in Delhi, and if possible to avoid your stay in Delhi, then do that. then no need of Delhi PCC. But if you studied there. If your college/school/university says so, then you need it. Otherwise, avoid Delhi address in your stay after 16 years of age.


3. Do we need PCC from passport office also apart from the local police authority were I stayed after the age of 16 years.
-- PCC from passport office will be only 1 per country. So, you need only 1 from India. Get PCC from Police dept, then visit passport office with residential proof and that PCC. they will issue PCC from Passport office.
 
PCC from diffrent places

Hi,

i have also the same issue. i am a Indian citizen living in India and my Wife is a USC now.

I lived in 4,5 different places in India because of my job postings. i used to come to my permanent residence on weekly/fortnightly basis. (already mentioned these places in G 325A while filling our case when she was a LPR )

1) Now do i need to collect PCCs from all theses places ?
i have already applied for PCC at my permanent residence.
(don't know if somebody will recognize me at those places now) :confused:
