Hi, everyone,
My mom is applying for a Green card replacement. After her 2nd finger-printing, she got a letter from INS. It asked her to provide police clearance letter because both sets of her fingerprints were found to be unreadable.
Here is my question:
My mom has traveled to another country for 9 months since the last time she was issued a lawful permanent card by USCIS. Does she need to provide a police clearance letter from another country for this period of time? It is less than 12 months. And it is a little difficult for her to obtain a police clearance letter from a foreign country since she currently reside in US. So we want to see if we can go with only US's police clearance letter.
