Police Clearance Certificate

Folks;

I have been asked by my attorney to furnish Police Clerance Certificate for I-485 filing. I contacted Indian consulate office in Chicago and they provide one but all this takes min 60 days to happen.

My problem is I want to submit application by first week of July, so their isn't any time to get this done. Has anyone of you ever been asked for similar request?

Since when USCIS request for a police cert other than FBI security check?
I have submitted the I485 a few weeks ago and my attonery never ask for a police certificate other than waiting for the FBI finger printing notice.
