The Dept of State website says that it is NOT possible for non-indians to get police records outside of India. When I visited the US Embassy site in London (our CP office) they have a list of countries that don't require a Police certificate but they don't mention India. I have tried calling, emailing and faxing the Indian Embassy in Chicago, many times, but can't get through.
Is there anyone on this forum who is a non-indian and has spent more than 6 months in India and completed their CP interview and can tell me whether it is required or not.
