Police Certificate

Hi,

This question is regarding the Police certificate needed for Consular process of Greencard. I stayed for ~3 years in Indonesia and came to US. I was working in Indonesia. Do I need to get police certificate from Indonesia, since I stayed for more than 6 months. Read somewhere that certain countries are not needed to provide the police certificate. Does Indonesia fall into that category?. I tried to get from Indonesia police, but no response and I don't know what to do, since I am here in USA.

Please let me know more on this. Please let me know any sites where I can get more info on this or someone to whom I can write to.

PS: I am an Indian passport holder.

Yes if you were older than 16 years of age at that time.

No. This link will give you some idea about Indonesian police clearance (go down a bit in the link); and may be then you should contact Indonesian consulate.
