I m Malaysian working in Shanghai now. I have been selected for DV2008 and the interview is scheduled on November 2007.
I have managed to obtain Police Certificate in Shanghai as I have been working over a year here.
My questions:
1) Do I need to translate the Police Certificate as it was written in Chinese?
And where can I find certified translator in Shanghai to do that? Does the consular only accept certain certified translator for the translated version?
(Note- I will be doing CP in my home country, Malaysia).
Please advise.
2) The validity of the police certificate is 6 months.
Do I need to obtain a new one before my departure for US should I obtain the approval in CP?
Or the Police Certificate is just used for interview processing during CP?
