My labor certification was from Virginia and our company location is also in Viriginia.
However my residence is in NJ and I will be landing on Newark Airport - NJ. Is this going to affect me in anyways. Please suggest.

No this will not affect you. Remember GC is for a Job in the Future. You can land on a US colony on Mars, and still you will be ok. All the best.
