POE - Work outside US - Address

Hello,



I had applied for GC. GC was approved by US consulate in Chennai. At present, I am working outside US.
I may have to continue to work outside US for another two years.
I must enter US to get Green Card. I am planning to stay in US for one to two days and get back .

Questions are

. Which address, should I specify at the time of Port of Entry
Friend's address or foreign address?

. Does welcome letter and plastic card come by registered post?
Do I have to be present in US to receive the card?

. I was told, I must apply for GC extension, before I leave US.
Need some info. in this respect.

{You may have to give your friend's address}

. Does welcome letter and plastic card come by registered post?
Do I have to be present in US to receive the card?

{No. They arrive in regular mail and it just lands in your mail
box}

. I was told, I must apply for GC extension, before I leave US.
Need some info. in this respect.

{I am assuming that you will be working at a foreign location
of your sponsor. You will need to research this topic further.
What you will need is not GC extension, but a re-entry
permit. }
