Arrived at NY(JFK) today at 7am. Felt nice not to fill out I94. Went to the line for US citizens/LPR. Told the first officer that we just had the interview for GC and was told to show the sealed envelope. Also told him we have the immigrant visa in the passport. That guy was totally clueless. He told me that I am in the wrong section and that I need to go the non-immigrant line. Instead of arguing with him I simply went to other officer who (thankfully) knew what I was talking about. He opened up the envelope, stamped our passports and then directed us to a small room.

When we went to the room, there was nobody there. Only one officer, who took our envelopes. Made us sign something and took fingerprint of the the right index finger the old fashioned way (with ink pad, so much so for believing that everything with USCIS is computerised now!). No questions were asked. Not a word was said. We quietly walked out of the room. The whole thing lasted less than five minutes.

Now the wait for the actual card begins...
