POE: Cincinnati: HOPELESS!

Entered Nov 2 evening at Cincinnati. Immigration people there were very disorganized. Our flight came in first and I was one of the first in line. The immigration officer took our papers and instructed us to get our bags and proceed to a waiting area. Unfortunately after we picked up our bags, another flight came in from London/Gatwick. They actually made us wait for 1 and a half hour till they cleared all the passengers who had landed. then they took another half hour to process all the new immigrants (maybe 6 of us total). Absolutely terrible. Missed our connecting flight though when we landed we had 2 hours to make the connection. Got re-routed and arrived 3 hours later than expected.
THE PROCESS
We were called in, fingerprinted, they put the I-551 (green card) temporary stamp in our passports and told us to expect the cards within 6 months. Conventional wisdom and reading these boards dictate that we should receive them in under a month. I believe the INS actually has their act together with respect to issuing the physical resident alien card. The aliens have landed.
regards.

CP in MUmbai

Hello Pttx01,

Congratualation on successful CP !

If you don't mind answering 2 questions, I will appreciate.

1) Which category were you? ( EB1/EB2/EB3). And I believe yours was Attorney Certified I-140?

I am in EB3 and just trying to find out whether Mumbai Consulate accepts EB3 cases for consular processing.

2) Would you please email me format for Local Police Clearance Certificate from India?

Did Mumbai consulate ask you a local PCC? Or PCC from Indian consulate in US was acceptable to them?

Your reply will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rupali

1. EB3 AC140, yes they do accept EB3 cases.

2. You ONLY need the Consulate PCC, don't need the local PCC, they don't need it and don't ask for it.

3. CP at Mumbai is a breeze.... read my detailed post in another thread where I described the interview process etc...
good luck!
