i started my process way back in 06/98 and i am still waiting .
So many immigration laws have changed in the past years and
many who filed in late 1999 or early 2000 have got already got
approved .
What are you trying to find out here ?
If you want your GC processed go ahead with all the paper work
and track your case on this excellent site . Dont waste time
just standing at the starting block , go ahead start running ...

It\'s looking like 9-12 months presently.
Of course, things can change and INS can focus priorities on AOS adjudication. That may speed things up. But, like the economy things have to bottom and then go back up again. I think we are in a deceleration mode for AOS applications. Can anybody call a safe bottom here?

There was a AILA/CSC meeting last december and the news is that the current processing time is around 11-12 months.
I read a news report somewhere which states that INS is trying to reduce the processing time to 6 months by September 2002.

saab i know it is tough on all of us
lets just hang in there till better things happen( we dont have any choice
) I\'m kind a stuck at my apt wanted to shift to a bigger home as my parents are visiting. hoping to see approval in feb at least; chances look dim though
guess us + parents will all huddle in our small apt
