You dowload from the internet the form, complete and prepare all documents that are necessary,pictures and check, and then you go to a local office from INS and explain that you have an emergency trip. Some makes it same day, some takes a week, but depending onthe travel date maybe you can push it.

Walk in Advance parole
I got mine AP at Newark. It took me 5 hours. You have to stay in line and go to room 200 first. They do your background check and then you have to pay INS fee of $110. You need to pay fee at 14th floor and then go to 13th floor. Make sure that you take I-140 Approval notice and letter from your employer. Also have a Potocopy of ViSA pages of your passport. Take your passport with you. My emergency travel was related to my brothers marriage. You can only go for walkin advance parole 3 weeks prior to your travel. You need to put date of expected travel in I-131 form.
