I am a H1B holder working in US. In past, I visited Canada couple of times, few days each time. No new visa stamp is required for returning US if the visiting is less than 30 days. When I crossed border, sometime border officers put stamp on passport indicating date of entering, sometime they just asked for some simple questions and let me drive in without stamping on passport or leave any info in their computer record. I am confused by a question in I-140 form which asks for “Date of Arrival” and a question in I-485 form asking for “Date of Last Arrival” Which date I should fill for these forms respectively:
1. The date when new I -94 card was given by immigration officer. Or
2. The last entering date with stamp which is shown on passport, but at the day, no I-94 card was given. Or
3. The most recently entering date on which I drove in without leaving any record into immigration officer’s computers or in my passport.
