Hello everyone,

My 485 rd is July 03. I have completed 180 days , My project has ended and my consulting company is going to terminate me.I haven't had any FP yet.

My questions are..

1. Should I change my attorney right away, or shall I wait till I have completed 18 months.Because I guess, nothing like approval or rfe is going to happen with in 18 months .....
What do u think?

2.Do u have any suggestions on affordable health care?

3.Has nay of the guys with July RD had FP yet..

Is your 140 approved. If not you could be in trouble- if your sponsoring employer does not continue to support 140.
But if 140 is approved and 485 filed more than 6 mo. ago- you would be OK. Do you hve EAD?
Attorney change etc can be done at suitable time for AC21- when you find new job- there is no hurry. Carry the Labor and 140 approval notice etc from current employer/lawyer.
FP delay should not have any bearing, there is no 18 mo wait required.

No, do not waste money by changing your attorney. If you have crossed 6 months after filing 485 then you are safe to change jobs.

Once you join permenant job, comp will provide you health care. If you hv existing insurance with your employer then COBRA will be in effect for couple of monthts after termination. You might search websites for good insurance coverage, if you opt for contracting jobs.

This is my opinion, you may want to contact other attorney for your deicision.
