Pls help: how to withdraw I485 from CSC

I filed EB-based I485 in CSC back in late 2001, while my another EB-based I485 was pending in VSC (my case was kind of complicated).
Months ago, my case in VSC got approved, while the case in CSC is still pending. I was told that I should withdraw the case in CSC. So I sent a withdraw letter to CSC. But when I checked my CSC case status lately, it's still saying the case is pending for review. I was hoping to see some kind of acknowledgement letter from CSC as well, but so far I didn't get any response.
So, did I do it right by sending the letter to CSC center? Am I supposed to receive any acknowledgement letter? Why my CSC case is not closed? Any hint is appreciated.
 
with your VSC approval from your alien number they will find out you already have a GC so they will reject that in CSC. You already did your part to inform your withdrawal. Be happy and enjoy do't worry u wo't get the second GC.
 
I guess the best thing is to follow up the withdrawal of your
I-485 by sending photocopied documents again, like the approved I-485, stamped passport &y our previous letter telling them that you are withdrawing this CSC one.They should send you reply any day now,but for your own peace of mind,try sending letter after all you're just sending photocopies of the approved one from VSC.

Could you please explain me how you could have filed two EB based I-485s with different centers cause I am in similar situations? Are you the primary applicant in both cases? Did you get any RFE from VSC regarding your second I-485? Thanks a lot.

I looked at your previous post and your case was indeed very complicated. Your patience was paid off indeed, although my waiting time is fast approaching yours. BTW, I am from China too.

I don't think there will be any effect on you if CSC does not withdraw your case. They will find out sooner or later. However, I am surprised they did not ask you to choose one immediately after matching your A number with VSC record. Did you put the same A number on the CSC I-485 application? Thanks and have a good weekend. I have to suffer who knows how long.
