Another question guys,
i work for a consultant and move a lot. I will be sending packet-3 to NVC on 1st july but i have to move to a new place in august. i dont know the new address. As i dont stay at one place for long i have given friends address in part 11 of packet-3 to get my final Green Card.

Q1) My ques. is what should i write in Part-13 which asks for present address.
As i'll be moving, can i give my friends address there as well (Pls. note he is in a DIFFERENT State VA and i am presently in OK).
Will this be considered hiding of fact.
I am worried as i believe they send the Packet-4 to the address we specify in Part-13.

Q2) Do i need to inform the change of address to NVC.Has anyone did this before.
Q3)Does this result in delay of Packet-3 processing.

Help is appreciated from senior members.

Anushri:
when in doubt, give attorney's address / employer's address.
You can always explain to them at the time of interview, that you are very mobile, hence could not risk the GC documents going to the wrong address.

Anushri,
I was assuming you have already received answer's for all your questions.

My suggestion would be
1. Write your present address(part 13) where you are living on the day you are submitting your P3. Anyways nobody knows "DAY AFTER TOMMORROW"

2. I haven't heard or read anywhere that we need to mention or inform NVC about our change of addresses.

3. No - it will not be delayed.

For the P4 part - once you know your case is transffered to American consulate call them up and give your latest address over the phone and they will also ask you to send them an email proof or a fax which you can do at the speculated time.

I am not senior to you to suggest you better than this.

Thanks

My attorney said NVC does accepts only typed forms not hand written ones. I had to go through about a month of corrections to get it right.

In my case...my attorney said hand written is o.k.....So i sent my DS-230 hand written ones....But i would strongly suggest typed ones.....

Hi Alren,
Can u please tell me what all things you had to get right.Any specific parts in DS-230Part which needs extra attention.
I am asking you this becoz many people had told in the forum before that DS-230 takes lot of time to fill. I think I am not doing SOMETHING right as it took me only 2 hrs to fill the form. I am really very concerned and scared.
Please if u can spare little time and tell me in detail what parts are really ambiguious. I think i am either not properly understanding the question or not answering it in the manner i should.
Please....Other guys who are in the process of filling or filled DS-230I already please help guys, i am really very scared.

In my case DS-230 part I took less than an hour to fill it up. I don't understand why you are scared. The hard part to rememeber is places and year you stayed till date else it should be straight forward.
If some body do not remember the education and work exp part then it can add up some hrs.

It should be staright forward. My attorney's paralegal is a ***b a** . She spelled our names in 5-7 different ways in the entire forms and things like that.

If you just read what they send you carefully and it should not take more than 30 mins./form for you to cross check.

As vm also encouraged, None of these things should be ambigous. Just think it like drinking a cup of tea.

so chill down ;)
