Hi folks
I am waiting for plastic card for me and wife, have changed address, so filed AR-11, called 1-800#
Also I need to fill G-731. Can anyone please help in filing form G-731, actually my Lawyer is asking $1000 fee, looks like a bit ingenuine to mePlease help

Looks like I need to keep page 1 of G-731 blank, so I don't need to fill anything for Section A and B on page 1 ; right?

Really appreciate if u can tell what to fill for these columns on page 2:


Form Type:
Receipt Number(Is it LIN.........?)
Date Filed: Is it the approval date or notice date on I-485 recepit


Q2) Do I need to file separate form for my spouse also

Why do we need G-731

Even I am going to move, my case is same as your, I think we need to just file AR-11 and call 1-800 # to update address, what is this G-731
 
Send just the second page of G-731n. Make sure you use version 'n' which is for Nebraska.

The form is easy to fill. In the big box on top of the form, write your new address. Then, check 'change of address' and also check the 'yes' next to it.

Fill just these details as follows:

Form Type: I485
Receipt Number: ***your I485 LIN# ***
Date Filed: *** your notice date ***
Where filed if other than NSC: N/A

App/Pet Name: *** your name as in I485 ***
App/Pet Alien Number A: *** your A# from I485 receipt ***
App/Pet Date of Birth: *** your dob ***

Date: *** today's date ***
Your Phone: *** your contact phone # ***
Your Fax: : *** your fax #, if any ***
Your E-mail: *** your email address, if any ***

You can leave the rest blank. I sent this form to NSC when I moved and the address was updated without any problem. I called a few months later to check, and the new address was on the system. Needless to say, I was thrilled!

You'll need to send a separate form for your spouse (and for other family members, if any)

You will also have to send AR11 to the address indicated in that form. That is just to keep track of us aliens, and by law we need to send it within 15 days (maybe its 10 days) of the move. AR11 will not change the address on your I485

Really you have given very good explanation, just a few queries:

1)
Same query as by Plastic
DO we need to keep page 1 of G-731 blank, so I don't need to fill anything for Section A and B on page 1 ; right?

2) Do we need to wait for 90 days after GC approval or we can apply earlier? Actually mine was approved 15 days back, can I file G-731?

Don't send page 1 to NSC. Just send page 2. If you want confirmation you can call them after a month to check.

Since you are just changing address, and are not inquiring about your plastic card, you don't have to wait for 90 days.
 
G-731 is required when u have ur case approved and u r waiting for Plastic & u change ur address, apart from applying AR-11 OR calling 1-800 # we also need to file G-731 form so that Plastic card can be sent to the new address!!!

We need to fill page 2
and regarding the fields I am not very sure:

Form Type: I- 551
Receipt Number(Is it LIN.........?) Yes It is LIN #
Date Filed: Is it the approval date or notice date on I-485 recepit
It is Approval Date of I-485
 
This form can also be used if your 485 is pending (the 2nd page) - I've used it successfully.
