In general terms has anyone any comments on how strictly the BCIS will interpret this:
I found this very good link in one of the other posts, that gives a description of what the OCC Code on the bottom of your labor is described as.
http://online.onetcenter.org/gen_crosswalk_page
My specific case:
My Labor has an OCC of 030.162.014 in the bottom right.
It also says 'Programmer Analyst' in the OCC Title box.
Now I go to the above link and type this number into the DOT search box. It returns with
Onet SOCcode:
15-1051.00 Computer Systems Analysts
( Pls correct me If I'm using it wrong )
Anyway I read through the descriptions of this title and Its pretty general - which is good as I think it could cover quite a few new jobs.
However I do a search on database administrator and it comes up with
DOT = 039.162-010
Onet SOCode
15-1061.00 Database Administrators.
To cut a long story short my question is would these occupations be considered 'similar' emough to satisfy AC21. Please feel free to speculate.
