Please...urgent...H1b transfer and extension

I have H1B visa( it will expire on oct. 4th, 2007)...right now I'm working at a company but after 3 months I will move to another company....it will be on June 11th when the future company will transfer my H1b visa , but the problem is...I have to go to my country on July 25th ....I think my H1b transfer will not be ready till I go to my country....it will be in process...my question is:

....how much time it will take to transfer the visa H1b?
.....can I travel outside U.S while the H1b transfer will be in process?
....and how much time it take to have my H1b extension...if the first 3 years expires on oct. 4th, 2007.....what is the deadline to extend it?


Please help me..it's kind of urgent..as I want to know what other choices I have.

You may speed up the process by paying $1000 more...but its not guaranteed. It really depends and a lot of things...say if you get an RFE it may take 6 months. I am still waiting for the last 6 months and June will be a busy season I guess ...with the new H1s stating in April.

Do you have the visa stamped on the passport till oct 2007? Then you might be able to use that to come back in....ask your lawyer though

extension may take the same time as transfer..I believe you can file it 6 months before it expires
