Please suggest. A# is incorrect on FP notice.

My A#
on I-485 is A#78704***
on FP is A#787104***

Which one is correct A# on the I-485 or the FP. I got this FP notice after sending a FAX enquiry and now the A#’s do not match but the SSN , WAC and Name are Correct.

Please Suggest.

I have just got a receipt and it says A95 142 ***

but my FP notice looks: A079 *** ***
I heard in this discussion board, that won\'t be a problem provided the star numbers are identical.

You can see my case is different and strange.

On I-485 A78 704 ***
On FP A78 7104 ***.

The last three stars match in both the cases. Problem is with middle numbers ( 704 or 7104).

I think you don\'t need to worry about that! Because A number is suppose to be in the form of A99 999 999 and the one you got on FP has an extra 1 in the middle number (invalid format any way). When you do your FP make sure that you talk to the officer and let them know that there is a mistake in your A number. May be it is a good idea to talk to an IIO and correct it even before you go for FP.
