Thanks jalabalajings & mayankdave,

I was talking to some people who has done PR.. Each have different opinion abt filing for PR....like it is better to file independetly ...some saying its better to add spouse also...at first time itself..my scenario is my husband on h1b and iam h4 ..

So could you please give advice me, whether we should apply together or alone ? which is better ?

Share your experience,please....!

calculate your points and whoever has more points that person should file as primary. I think you both should file together. One as primary and other as dependent.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks vahope4gc,

Is there any benefit in having more points or it just a point where we become to eligible to apply for PR ?

Well; i you have more than required points; there are better chances for you to get PR than you have exact points that they need for your application.

I would strongly suggest you read the basic skilled immigration packet from CIC website. You can achieve very basic knowledge from there and then proceed with questions here.
Also for Canadian immigration you both must fill the forms and apply (one as the primary and the other as dependent). It is ILLEGAL to file as single if you are married. You both should evaluate based on the criteria and who ever has higher points should apply.
