Hi Guys:
DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE....
Aug 15th 2007 : We(principal/spouse) have applied for our 5th AP and it was approved on 19th & 13th September 2007(as per online status case is approved and notice was sent). We did not received our Physical Travel Document(Advance Parole) or approval notice till Dec 5th 2007.
In the meantime i did following to notify USCIS and find out when are we going to recieve our AP.
1) Called 800 number and spoke to IO several time
2) Called 800 number created SR#
3) Visited local USCIS field office and spoke to IO multiple time
4) Contacted local congressmen.
In response of all of the above query was that Travel Document(Advanece Parole) has already been sent you the address we have on file and we correct address on file; But we never recieved any document from USCIS.
Nov 29th 2007 : I shared this situation with one of my friend and he told me to re-file it with no fee attached to it. I prepared a nice cover letter saying that our AP was approved but we have not received any approval notice or physical document yet. Please send us copy of original document.
Dec 3rd 2007 : I sent our re-filed I-131 on to USCIS thrugh certified mail.
Dec 10th 2007 : We received our Original Physical Travel Document(AP) sent by someone from michigan. USCIS sent our AP to wrong address by mistake. It was a big relief for us that ultimately we have got our AP in hand.
Dec 11, 2007 : USCIS Issued an RFE against my spouse AP case# saying that she need to sent them new picture to reproduce new AP(Travel Document)
Dec 13, 2007 : I recieved a letter from congressmen office saying that i need to send new picture to USCIS to reproduce new AP(Travel Document). I did not recived any RFE for my case. But i told them that i have received original travel document which was sent at wrong address.
Dec 20th 2007 : I sent response to USCIS against spouse RFE saying that we have finally recieved our original travel document which was sent to the wrong address. As we have received our original travel document; we would like close our request for copy of original travel documents.
Dec 28, 2007 : RFE response was delivered by USPS to USCIS; But till date it has not been acknowledged by USCIS; as online message still says RFE sent blah...blah...
