Hello folks,

My parents who are on a B2 (visitor) visa in the US are planning on taking a cruise to Bahamas. My question is, on their way back from the trip and re entry into US, do they get a new I-94 card?

Of course, they will have to get a visa for the Bahamas as they are Indian citizens. But what happens to their current I-94 card that they got while enteting US from India? Does that get replaced with a new one?

I was planning on applying for an extension of their stay in the US but if they are going to get a new I-94 card at the time of entry from the Bahamas, then I should probably wait until they get back from the cruise.

I really appreciate your prompt responses! This forum has been so helpful and I hope to extend the same help to anyone looking for info that I may know.

Thanks,

I think that if you are in a Cruise that leaves from US Mainland you are treated as USC and they don't require passport in the bahamas for USCs on cruises, therefore when they come back they will not receive new I-94.

Just my opinion, maybe you can check with travel agency or any other expert here
