I found out from IIO on Friday (October26) that I was going to get a RFE. IIO was telling me that they haven\'t typed the RFE yet and it was going to take 2-3 weeks to send the RFE letter to me. I really don\'t understand why it would take 3 weeks to send a letter.....anyways my details are as follows:

RD: 01-19-2001
ND: 01-29-2001
FP: 05-01-2001
RFE: Not received yet
Time in USA : 9 1/2 years.

guys I heard that they are sending RFE to people who have been in the USA for a long time. If you could also post how long you\'ve lived here that will be great. Thanks a bunch!!

3-4 weeks back AVM was saying "Case not found" then it changed to "Your case was received on" and the AVM still hasn\'t changed.

Don\'t worry about it...

Yak&Yeti:

Did you applied I-485 on the basis of 254i grand-father rule? Staying too-long here should not be an issue!!!!

I am not sure what is 254 i...

A.K.Islam:
I applied for regular I-485 through my Job. If that clarifies your question.
Congratulations to you buddy...I found out that your I-485 has been approved...

No Title

Thanks Yak&Yeti....

I also, applied I-485 through my job. But, since, after completing my BS and MS here in the US I was out-of-status for a while. Because of that my attorney told me that I have to apply on the basis of I-245i rule (to be safe). In I-245i rule INS over-ruled all
the status issues. Just you have to pay $1000 for penalty for each member of the family. And you will get your GC here in the USA.
Hopefully, this clarify your question about I-245i rule. Some-times it also called Grand-Father Rule.

Thanks,

A.K. Islam.
